What is the Competitive Squad?

The Competitive Squad is being formed to allow dedicated and talented students to represent at dance competitions both nationally and internationally and to start offering competitive and professional pathways for our students. We are looking for soloists, duets, trios and groups to represent us in Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Hip Hop & Contemporary.

2020 Comp Squad information:

Comp Squad dancers do not require an audition - just a commitment to working hard.

Comp Squad dancers must enrol in the COMP SQUAD TECHNIQUE weekly class then will book private one on one sessions with their choreographer .

The cost per private session is $100 per 45mins.

Dancers can team up to do duets, trios and groups if they wish - in these cases one student pays the private session cost and the others pay that parent their contribution.

The minimum requirement is 2 private sessions per term and there is no maximum.

It is not compulsory to do both comps so they could choose only one.

The Diamond Dance Challenge Comp in Melbourne has been moved to April 2020 and the Auckland Dance Brandz Comp is still in September

Dancers will be able to come to us and let us know the categories they want to compete in including the self choreography - They can compete in more than one category.

Dancers and Parents will sign a contract regarding their commitment & behaviour.

Parents will be able to accompany students on the overseas comp tours but no parents will be allowed backstage at the comp events.
