Jaymee is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Auckland, with a double major in Communications and Media, Film & Television. She gained a discretionary entrance to University after completing Year 12 at Saint Kentigern College having received an Excellence endorsement in NCEA Level 2. Jaymee also holds NZQA Level 2 Certificates in Music, Drama, Dance and General Performing Arts as well as Distinction passes in several Trinity Guildhall Musical Theatre exams. Acting, Singing and Dancing have been a big part of Jaymee’s life since she was about 7 years old and she has undertaken a range of dance and singing tuition. She has trained in Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary dance and Jazz, Classical and Musical Theatre vocal styles.
Jaymee has performed in many productions over the years, landing lead roles with a variety of companies – the latest being the lead role of Veronica in the cult classic ‘Heathers The Musical’ in April 2018. She also performed in both the musical and drama productions every year at College and was nominated for a Showdown award in 2016 for her portrayal of the Beggar Woman in ‘Sweeney Todd’.
Other musicals and productions Jaymee has performed in are Grease (twice), Seussical the Musical (twice), Aladdin, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sound of Music, Peter Pan, High School Musical 2, Camp Rock, My Son Pinocchio, Honk, The Wiz, Oliver, Spamalot, Go Tell Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Bring it On! Jaymee even took to the Vector (now Spark) Arena stage with Roger Waters from Pink Floyd for a performance of “Another Brick in the Wall” in 2012.

Jaymee has previously taught vocal and musical theatre classes with various dance studios in East Auckland. She loves watching children grow in confidence and achieving goals that they never thought were possible. Jaymee is very much looking forward to sharing her passion for everything Musical Theatre with the students at Pform.nz and we are just delighted to welcome her to the team.
