B.A., Dip Tchg., Dip Dance Drama in Education

Tracey graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and then completed her Diploma in Teaching. She then furthered her training with a Higher Diploma in Teaching and a post-graduate Diploma of Dance and Drama in Education from the Auckland College of Education. She has worked for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and for the Ministry of Education as a Drama and Dance moderator and assessment writer. She has held Head of Drama and Dance positions at Kristin School, Avondale College and the Senior College of New Zealand. She loves to perform and has landed a couple of guest roles on Shortland Street. She oversees the artistic content in the classes and end of year shows and trains the Pform.nz tutors in master classes on Dance, Drama and most importantly, teaching pedagogy. Tracey is the founder and Artistic Director of Pform.nz - a company that trains over 1200 students per week in singing, dancing and acting. She has choreographed and directed numerous large scale productions over the years including Peter Pan, Bugsy Malone, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wiz, Beauty and the Beast, The Music Man, Superman, Young Frankenstein, Battle of the Bands, The Sound of Music, Anything Goes, Grease, Shrek, Dr Dolittle & Elf. Each year she produces our six end of year productions over two weekends with up to 200 in each cast. She genuinely believes her company's tag line "Dream it...Pform it...Be it!" and has witnessed first hand over the years how performing arts can change lives. Tracey loves her job and especially being a mum to Rose, Pearl and Will who all teach her daily about all the wonderful things in life.
